Spelling
Monday – Write your spelling words in your agenda in alphabetical order CORRECTLY.
Tuesday – Wednesday (due Thursday): Choose one of the following:
A.              Write your spelling words 3x each, two times in print and one time in cursive.
B.              ZYX order: Write your words in reverse alphabetical order.  Z would be first, and A would be last!  (1. zany …           20. apple)
C.              Backwards spelling: Write your spelling words correctly and then write them backwards!  (spelling à gnilleps)

Vocabulary: Due Thursday- Choose One:
A.     Sentences: Use each word in an original sentence. Bonus: Create a story instead of random sentences!
B.     Illustrate each vocabulary word with a simple drawing that will help you remember the definition. Do this on notebook paper, after your heading.  Your work should be numbered, have the vocabulary word written, then followed by the illustration.
C.     Online vocabulary game(s) - Write down the website you used and have a parent sign that you practiced this week's words.  (Write/sign this on your spelling choice homework please.)

IRA (Independent Reading Activity) (Due Friday!): Characterization
            Write a paragraph describing the main character in your independent reading book.  In addition to his/her physical description (who he/she is on the outside), describe the character’s personality and character traits (who he/she is on the inside).  If this character were real, would you want to be friends with him or her?  Why or why not?  Please write neatly and use correct paragraph writing format: indent, four-six complete super sentences, introduction/hook, and conclusion.
