Comprehension Strategy: Predicting & Monitoring
Write
down the title of your AR book. Make three predictions about your new
book. Use the title, jacket description, and first few pages to help
you make your predictions. If you've already started reading your
book, then make a few predictions about what you think will happen.
(Skip several lines between each prediction.)
As
you read, see if your predictions happen or not. Write a response to
each prediction. (Explain what did happen.) Turn in this assignment
by Friday.
