LA 1.5: Latin Roots Ped and Man, Manu 

Spelling:
Tuesday: Write your words in ABC order in your agenda (due Wednesday). IF you made below an 85 on last week's test, you must write this week's words 5x each (3x print/2x cursive). Turn in by Friday.
Wednesday: Create a spelling chain. Write one of your words, link another word to it, and so on and so forth until you've linked all 20 words together (due Friday.)
Tuesday through Thursday, please study your words nightly for your test on Friday.

Tuesday: Use 10 of your spelling words to fill in the blank to match each vocabulary definition (due Wednesday). IF you made below 85% on last week's vocabulary test, you must use each of this week's words in a fabulous sentence with at least 10 words (due Friday).
Wednesday: Vocabulary Draw: Draw and label a picture of each vocabulary word (due Thursday).
Tuesday – Thursday: Study vocabulary words and definitions for the test on Friday.

English: Since many students are not using the homophones your and you're correctly, this week you will need to practice using those words.

Due Thursday: Write each word and its explain the difference in them on a sheet of notebook paper. Use each word appropriately in a model sentence.
*On Friday, you will be tested on these words by using them correctly.

This Week's IRA: Wonderful Words
Fold paper into four quarters. Write your correct heading on your paper. Label your sections nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. Find at least 5 interesting, wonderful words for each part of speech and write them in the appropriate quadrant. Also write in parentheses a simple synonym for the wonderful word.
