Unit 2, Week 1 Spelling and Vocabulary lists            Story: Excerpt from Shiloh

Spelling: compound words
Monday: Copy words in agenda in ABC order.
Tuesday & Wednesday: Work on spelling choice activity (due Thursday).
Study nightly (M-Th) for the sp. test on Friday.

We will read the excerpt from the story Shiloh in class together on Tuesday. All students should re-read the story at home Tuesday night to prepare for comprehension work (on Wed.) and the story test on Friday.

Independent Reading Activity (due Friday): Use the cause-effect chain on the back as a model.  As you read your AR book, identify a cause-effect relationship and write in on your own paper.  You must have least three cause-effect relationships from your book.  If they all flow together (one causes the next), connect them like the model on the back.  If the cause-effect pairs are not related to each other, do not connect them together.
