4-H DPA Conratulations!

We are very proud of Leilani and Cody! They both competed in 4-H DPA (District Project Achievement). Approximately 15 northeast Georgia counties were represented at DPA. Both Leilani and Cody earned first place in their respective project categories. Way to go!

Our students worked very hard on the State Writing Test today! I am very proud of them!!! We will get the results back before this school year is finished.

For homework tonight, work on AM if you are not yet a math master. Anyone who has corrections needs to complete them.

Finally, students do NOT have to do a WOW this week (but they can do one for extra credit). We will resume our regularly scheduled WOW program next week. ;)

Writing Test Wed.

Fifth graders across the state of Georgia will be taking the State Writing Test this Wed. 3/7. The students should feel prepared for this test, although it's okay to be a bit nervous. Students do NOT have to "pass" the test to be promoted. In May, we will receive scores with ratings of "did not meet," "meets," or "exceeds" standards on this test.

You can help your child feel prepared by helping him or her get to bed early the night before, to eat a good breakfast on Wednesday, and to wear comfortable clothes to school. Thank you for all that you do!
